Jumana emerged to nest at Ghantoot, a small reserve in Jebel Ali run by one of our project partners, the Emirates Marine Environment Group. After laying eggs she was outfitted with a new satellite transmitter to help us identify her movements back to her customary feeding grounds, so that we are in a better position to design appropriate conservation strategies around her habitat needs. With the generous sponsorship of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, she joins another 74 turltes in our programme which has run since 2010 to help managers and conservationists know more about their life cycle in the Gulf.
